Data & AI Director

ROLE PURPOSE

The Data & AI Director is responsible for leading and executing the Group’s Data & AI strategy and roadmap, transforming data into a strategic enterprise asset that drives operational excellence, decision-making, and sustainable business growth.

This role goes beyond reporting and analytics. The incumbent is accountable for turning data and AI into measurable business value, embedding data-driven and AI-enabled capabilities across core business domains.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Data & AI Strategy Execution

• Execute the Group’s Data & AI Strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned with corporate objectives
• Define and prioritize data products and AI use cases across business domains
• Ensure strong business-value orientation with clear outcome and ROI tracking

2. Data Platform & Architecture

• Own the enterprise data platform including EDW/Lakehouse, pipelines, and analytics layers
• Oversee integration from ERP, operational systems, IoT/OT, and digital platforms
• Ensure scalability, reliability, data quality, and cost efficiency

3. Analytics, BI & Data Products

• Establish a single source of truth for enterprise reporting and analytics
• Standardize KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting
• Drive the shift from report-centric to product-centric data delivery

4. AI & Advanced Analytics

• Lead delivery of AI and advanced analytics solutions
• Partner with business leaders to operationalize AI into daily workflows
• Ensure responsible AI governance and lifecycle management

5. Data Governance & Data Culture

• Establish enterprise data governance, ownership, and standards
• Ensure data security and regulatory compliance
• Promote data-driven culture and data literacy

6. Organization & Leadership & Accountability

• Build and lead Data Engineering, Analytics/BI, and Data Science teams
• Define operating model combining central and domain data teams
• Develop talent and long-term data capabilities
• Govern Data & AI architecture, platforms, and standards
• Manage Data & AI budgets and vendors

• Hands-on experience in Data, Analytics, or AI, with 5+ years in leadership roles
• Proven experience building enterprise data platforms
• Hands-on delivery of AI/advanced analytics beyond POC
• Experience in large or multi-business organizations preferred
• Strong business acumen and stakeholder management
